"Then we found an incredible session in the front bar of the Kings Arms. Several pipe players, fiddle, melodeon, hurdy gurdy. Anyone know who any of these musicians were..."

If that was late Saturday night, it could have been:
- Myself on melodeon
- Mary Humphreys on English concertina
- Nick Whiteley, melodeon and hurdy gurdy
- Cath Whiteley, fiddle (specialist in gorgeous slow airs but can also rattle out fast tunes with the best of them)
- Paul (I don't have any other name for him) on Swayne and Bourbonnais pipes. I hadn't met him before but he's a lovely player and was in the session Mary and I "officially" hosted earlier in the day, and he's inspired me to get my own Swayne pipes out, do some practice and learn some more tunes.
- A couple I don't know on two sets of Northumbrian pipes.
- There was another melodeon player too, who played lots of morris tunes.

That was a very nice session, whether or not it was the one you meant.

The absolutely best session was the one we had behind the pub by Nick and Cath's motorhome on Sunday afternoon, where I was trying out Cath's new cello. The hair on the back of my neck still hasn't sat down...

Hawker/Lucy - NOW I know who you are! Nice to meet you at our workshop. I didn't know who you were at the time.
