That's not what the "Saudi Proposal" was all about... What is was all about was a framework for a ragional peace that included the US sitting in the same room with folks that Bush says he won't sit down with unless certain pre-conditons are met...

Google up "Saudi Porposal"...

There was a parrellel plan called the "Mitchell Plan" which is very similar....

These plans could still work...
