Chongo was an orphan long before this thread ever existed. His family got wiped out way back in the 1920's over in Rwanda or somewhere around there, and he was the lone survivor, taken into captivity. From there he learned English (sort of), took on odd jobs in the local area working for the colonial shipping lines, and eventually got on a boat to New York City. The rest is history.

He drinks banana dacquiris now and then for the banana taste (and the image), but his favorite drink by far is scotch on the rocks.
