Thread Name: The Saddest Song Ever written
Subject: RE: BS: The Saddest Song Ever written
"My Grandfather's Clock" Which I learned about 10 years ago, and it still makes me cry.

"The Highwayman" The poem, especially--not just the song version of it.

"For My Bride" as sung by Bob Ford on his tape Fiddler's Green.

"Old Blue"

"Heavy Horses" by Jethro Tull--I'm a big fan of horses, and the thought of some horses not being around anymore jusst breaks my heart.

"Too Old to Rock and Roll" also by Jethro Tull--kind of a tragic song. . .

Most songs about war make me sad because I'm a pacifist and I don't actually believe in violence towards anyone, so of course I think war is one of the worst things ever created by humans because it hurts EVERYONE. Especially songs about the innocent bystanders in war--the children.

Peace--Bridget
