Oregon, Stilly.

And it's tolerable here today, but 'sposed to get hotter thru the coming week. I'm having more problems with fleas (cat-borne, but they bite people too) than with the ragweed.

I did find some nice homeopathics to use for hay fever most of the time. Work pretty well.

As for my laundry, I usually take it to Seattle with me, as long as my machine is on the fritz.   (The place I stay has a high-end, water-efficient, energy-efficient machine and I can do some laundry while working on other things.)   But I occasionally have to go back to beating the clothes against the rocks in the Willamette. OK, not quite that bad, but my bathtub does get used for washing clothes from time to time.   I avoid the quarter-sucking machines as much as I can.
