Well, it is getting closer. I think we are going to have a small, as expected, group, but singing dynamos. It should be a lot of fun. I have heard via others that more peopl are coming...I know of about 15 for sure and probably 5 maybes..so I am hoping for 25 people this year..we have run 30-40 in the past...I have not had the time to really do the publicity to get more people..and since it will be the last year, I don't want new people to get disappointed so it will be mostly us old-timers.

September 28 to 30.   Nahcotta, Washington, where they do the oysters...near Oysterville of course..this is on the Long Beach Peninsula. IT IS NOT ANYWHERE NEAR OCEAN SHORES AND ABERDEEN. STOP IF YOU GET TO ABERDEEN. YOU HAVE TO TURN AROUND A BIT AND HEAD TOWARDS RAYMOND AND DOWN TO NASELLE..FROM NASELLE YOU CAN FOLLOW SIGNS TO ASTORIA (DON'T CROSS BRIDGE THOUGH) OR LONG BEACH. iT IS NEAR THE mouth of the Columbia River. Some people have been confused and gone to Ocean Shores..NO.....

Once you get to Ilwaco or Long Beach, just head north..there are only two streets..Sandridge and Pacific Highway..main street. Just go about 10 miles from Long Beach to the light in Ocean Park. Turn right and go about a mile. Turn left and go about a mile, past the signs for the Ark restaurant, past the Port of Nahcotta, past a white house. There used to be a clump of trees with a sign that was hard to see. Now it is easier to see because they cut the trees down..don't know why...There is an old wooden sign that says Morehead Park or Camp Morehead..I forget which. Park in the parking lot..not by the cabins...

$55 for the weekend...less if you come for the day (stay in motels etc.) or bring your own food. Just email me at mgarvey@wsu.edu. It is OK to pay when you get there. It is also OK to just show up, although I would rather know in advance...but we are close to a grocery store and will have lots of room.

Bring warm blankets and clothes as cabins are unheated. We only have two main buildings..a lodge with the kitchen, fireplace etc. used for singing...and the boathouse used for ping pong and instrumentalss...anything else can be done outside..weather has been beautiful..or in one of the cabins.

Hope to see you all there...remember it will be the last one so let's go out with a bang..or a whimper..doesn't matter..it should be a lot of fun. Bring anything from your garden..fruits, berries, vegetables, flowers...

No pets except one has permission to stay in their RV but not to come into thel main lodge. mg
