It all depends on your requirement.
If you need fats Broadband and reliable line and can't afford to be down, and use the interenet for gaming and heavy usage, you are going to have to find the very best ISP.
However if you just pop onto the internet occasioannly and are just surfing the odd thing or 2 and its doesn't matter too much if you don't have broadband for a few days then it doesn't matter too much who you go with.
I have Sky but would not put all my eggs into one basket.
My wife works via the Interent and therefore my first example is important. She can't afford to be down for more than half an hout at a time.
That is why we paid a bit extra with ADSL24. We get 6.5 download which is great for her. The ISP is sexcellent and stable and above all, have the brilliant support team if and when you need it. My wife has to work to very tight time schedules.
It really is your call.
