I lost my poetry
In that lift.
I'd put it in
Hoping to shift
My stuff, both boring and inane
Up to some high poetic plane!
I pressed the button, then jumped out,
Not sure just what i was about.
The lift, with all my dreams in store,
Went up and jammed
Between two floors.
