Lucy, I too had a lovely Dad. He's been gone over twenty years but I still sometimes think he'll be coming up to our door with a big bag of goodies from his allotment, as in former years He was a great gardener. It was hard to lose him but I took solace in knowing he was at last released from severe pain.

Let yourself grieve and in time the sadness will give way to happy memories. Treat yourself gently.
