Subject: RE: Banjo music in Toronto
Well I have Arnie & Chris' CD 5 Strings Attached With No Backing and these boys are exceptionally skilled and 'hot'(as they say in banjo talk).

From what I understand Chris Coole plays and sings in the bluegrass band called the "One Horse Town" and is also Toronto's most noted old time banjo busker.

Arnie Naiman and Kathy Reid-Naiman play a variety of instruments and songs as a duo called "Ragged but Right" Kathy Reid also plays guitar on this CD. She is a children's musician and currently has two recordings available on Merriweather Records.
They are all members of "The Extraordinary Stringband" and often play music for old time country dances in the Toronto area.

I like what Arnie says on the back of his CD cover "playing the banjo can have serious consequences"
I am beginning to understand this myself. But they are very good consequences.

This will sure be a worthwhile concert to see.
