Melodeon - tuning - the two just don't fit together. The only way to tune this devilish instrument ( I use the term loosely) is with an axe or a hammer- at least that way you will get a pleasant sound while tuning which is something you will never get from this instrument otherwise. Before anyone makes remarks about banjos and tuning, I assure you that the ones I make stay in tune.
