The Woolpack is a much more 'folky' venue, but the humidity during the shanty session was ridiculous. Are pubs now like trains...i.e. no openable windows? And those of us who turned up on time - rather than ahead of time - also found ourselves in the doorway/exit. Neither of these venues are of adequate capacity.

The Vine is comfortable in a postmodern sort of way, but its pretentious 'classiness' is totally undermined by the tannoy. All they need is one person to deliver food to the tables which even Wetherspoon seem to manage.

Despite these criticisms it was a cracking weekend and many thanks to Alan for organising it.
