The TV writers strike is apparently on which means shows like the Daily show will be going to reruns very soon.

The writers want dividends from DVD sales and other rerun profits no matter what the device it is played on.

The network does not want to pay the writers after the work is created.

The networks have a big bargaining chip called Reality TV shows which has no ties to the writers guild.

Stay tuned for new reality shows like SURVIVAL - the walking tour of American ghettos. People are let loose in SE DC or Baltimore or Newark or other choice neighborhoods and required to walk to city hall.   As contestants get eliminated the drop off time gets later until the finale starts at midnight.

Yep if you have a reality show this is the golden opportunity for you to pitch it at the networks.
