I had one of these once. Sure, it broke down light into its full spectrum of colors, but they came out all mixed up so that purple was between yellow and blue instead of between red and blue.

Suddenly infrared was visible. Still, ultraviolet was, as always, cool. Ultraviolet is always cool. Ultra-cool. That's why they use it for black light posters.
