Thread Name: Radio for folkies?
Subject: RE: BS: Radio for folkies?
Amergin and JenEllen, you're making me homesick for the Northwest! I've come to depend on WKSU on the net for my folk fixes. Rediscovered Kat Eggleston there, too, who moved from Seattle soon after I did and is now in Chicago, and is one of my favorite songwriters. Is Sandy Bradley's Pot Luck still on KBCS? Amergin, get in touch with the Portland Folklore Society (they have a website) and somebody should be able to point you to a good source. Or maybe Margo or Barbara can help. Last time I was in Oregon, it sounded like KBOO had turned into a hiphop station. They used to play a lot of folk. Oh, well, we do have at least two 24 hr Hawaiian music stations here (one traditional, one more contemporary), so I guess I can't complain too much (sly grin!)

Aloha,
Mark
