Great to hear from a "real" ANZAC who served overseas. I was a "Terry" in 1966, on 24-hour notice to go to camp if our 2nd NZ Battallion went to Vietnam. I'm more than somewhat glad I wasn't dragged into that conflict. I've been with our local RSA for around 20 years. Early on there would be 40 marching, mainly "returned men", including a couple from WWI. The "gongs" rang loud and clear as they marched. Y'know, yesterday I was trying to work out how long back it was, since the Vets, for some reason, stopped wearing their medals to Parade? About a decade back, I think. Must find out why they stopped wearing 'em.

And, Shambles, it's our Aussie/Kiwi sparring that keeps us on our mettle...;)
