I hadn't heard the Darlene Zschech one before. Sounds like someone has written a praise song based on the Charles Wesley idea. It isn't the one I was thinking of, though. 'Mine' is the one at the cyberhymnal site ... and pretty much the only tune you'll hear sung by the Welsh. It was written by Joseph Parry who was a major force on the Welsh music scene in the mid/late 1800s (spent a lot of time in N.E. United States too.)

The other tune, which would have been popular with my mother's family (Canadian Methodists) is on the same cyberhymnal page. Look for the tune name, Martyn, by Simeon B Marsh. Is that the one you're thinking of? It's also sung in a medley on youtube by the South African Mass Male Choir

Little Hawk - lovely piece!
