Thread Name: BS: "Missing the Getaway" Tavern
Subject: RE: BS: "Missing the Getaway" Tavern
Yesterday I snuck out of the tavern long enough to march with my daughter's drum crew in a parade on a gorgeous Autumn morning... what fun! And then last night other daughter and I attended the premier of AC Bushnell's new CD and DVD, "Following the Road". There was the most intriguing collection of musicians there to celebrate AC's music and life. My friend produced the movie about AC and the making of this album, it is a terrific story, and the music was just amazing. I'd always heard the term 'inexpressible joy'. What AC has is 'EXPRESSIBLE joy'. Here's a little about it:

You old-time musicians may appreciate the picture of a stage filled at the end with almost 20 musicians (4 banjos, electric guitar and bass, mandolins, drums, more I can't remember) on the world's craziest version of "Cluck Old Hen" as the audience went wild with clapping and stomping.

So, now we rinse out the whiskey and fill the mugs with coffee, the better to prepare for the Gospel Workshop I love so well. AC sang this last night, and I just love it. Join me?

When I go, don't cry for me
In my Father's arms I'll be
The wounds this world left on my soul
Will all be healed and I'll be whole.
Sun and moon will be replaced
With the light of Jesus' face
And I will not be ashamed
For my Savior knows my name.

It don't matter where you bury me,
I'll be home and I'll be free.
It don't matter where I lay,
All my tears be washed away.

Gold and silver blind the eye
Temporary riches lie
Come and eat from heaven's store,
Come and drink, and thirst no more

It don't matter where you bury me
I'll be home and I'll be free
It don't matter where I lay
All my tears be washed away

So, weep not for me my friends,
When my time below does end
For my life belongs to Him
Who will raise the dead again.

It don't matter where you bury me,
I'll be home and I'll be free.
It don't matter where I lay,
All my tears be washed away.
