Thread Name: Lyr Add: The Cull (Anzac Day song)
Subject: RE: Lyr Add: ANZAC DAY song THE CULL
G'day again,

Billy the Bus: I should get back to Snalbans this year - I was at the first (a decade back) and since then have had other commitments (playing for Bush Music Club Heritage Week Ball). Now the Ball is separate from Heritage Week and St Albans weekend is free, so I should get there (after picking up my wife from her annual Persephone-like descent to the underworld ... 3 weeks with her mother, in Tasmania - comes back on the Saturday so I will only make the Sunday.

I hope to run into Frank Povvah, who I met at Gulgong, then at Morpeth, some years back. I wil also keep an eye out for assembled MudCatters.

Mary G: "People messing with songs" is what makes "folk music". The tradition lives on updating and that is what you have done ... added one more verse in the endless line of wars ... created (as a church sign, near where I grew up, once said) "by old men who don't have to fight in them".

Regards,

Bob Bolton
