I certainly tried to do something else, but found that when I wasn't singing and performing, I got very very grumpy.

Sometimes, this "music thing" calls you and in my case, to ignore that call made me a very unhappy person.

I am also very lucky to be able to do what I do and I have the most supportive husband in the entire world. He is not a musician, but he understands that I have to "heed the call".

And yes, I have experienced all the negative things that were expressed in the other thread, but one night like last night in Lodi, CA are far worth all the hassles we as traveling musicians go through.
