Best way is by canal, Jack, but there's a bit of a gap between Glasgow and Tewitfield if you're coming from Edinburgh. It does solve the accommodation problem, though. If you set off now, you should be there ready for next year's do. Bus services are sparse, so you'd be best off arranging for a floor and a lift with someone nearby.
