I spoke to Derek this evening and I am sad to report that he does not feel well enough to come to Barton this weekend. His pacemaker op seems to have gone well, but he now has a problem with his stomach and throat which has, among other symptoms, affected his voice.

We will miss him this weekend, but wish him a speedy recovery. Once he's back on the mend, I'll try to arrange another opportunity for him to make a comeback!

I'm sure he'd welcome any calls or emails from well-wishers.
