"The tune reminds me of Henry Reed's "Cold Frosty Morning", "The Wheelbarrow", "The Fine Old Man versus Gladstone's Hornpipe", and "King of the Fairies"... The Gladstone tune (a Tory campaign tune from his election campaign of 1880) is the least known but my favourite."

Yes, I can hear "King of the Fairies" in the A part. The B part is what makes it special, though. And there ain't no Tory campaign tunes in my repertoire, whatever their period!
