Just finished watching Kevin Costner's " For the Love Of the Game". Great movie!
As a small child in San Diego, my father used to take me to Lane Field to watch the Pacific Coast League Padres. It set right on the Embarcadero ,so you could look over the third base side at the harbor.The train tracks ran up the street outside the right field wall. Supposedly someone hit a homer over the wall and it bounced into a boxcar on its way to LA. 120 mile home run.
