The Friends of the UTA Library have a holiday meeting every year, and this year the guest is bagpipe major Don Shannon. He has played in many places around the world; locally we see him with the North Texas Caledonian Pipes & Drums. If you're in the area and interested in attending, it is Friday, Dec. 7 at 7:30. The meetings are free and open to all, and it helps to RSVP because this meeting does sometimes fill up (it's a nice reception and performance).
