As far as thread hijacking goes, I'll agree it's a shame some people have dragged it down to this level – but frankly to have let this kind of thing stand unchallenged would be far more shameful. (And anyway, it's hardly irrelevant to the thread to challenge someone over homophobic comments made regarding the subject of that thread!)
