I first heard the beautiful "Slaney Valley" being sung by the late Jim Crosbie of Ballingly near Foulksmills. I was a youngster then it the 1960s, but the beautiful tune has stayed with me. In a search for the lyrics I found this wonderful discussion thread, and was brought back to my childhood when "Indigo" mentioned hearing the song being sung in "The Oak Tree" in Foulksmills. Do you remember Jim?
