I think most young persons have been through something like your experience, Kelida, and not all with the same happy ending. As to songs, there are a goodly set of "robber bride" type songs (the names escape me) where the lusty gent is outwitted by a fair young maid, who usually takes off on his horse, or motorcycle or whatever and leaves him in the lurch.
