This song is getting a fair amount of exposure in the DC area these days.


My mother and stepfather (who's 93 and sings with a group in the assisted living place where they live--just saw him in concert with his group last Friday)---decided they wanted to go hear Maggie Sansone, a local hammer dulcimer player, with her current group. So I chauffeured them to the concert Saturday.

Though I didn't have high hopes for the concert--expected just instrumentals--they had a vocalist who sang this song--and asked the audience to join in the chorus right off the bat. But I think I may have been the only one in the audience who did so. The people ahead of us were surprised I could belt out the chorus--and said so.
