Subject: RE: Lyr Req: 'Once in China there lived a great man...
I don't know all this ditty sung to me by my grandad from 1964 onwards but it has been so amusing reading these threads I feel the need to respond - my grandad was in the army (WW2)and had a clean version and a 'dirty' version that to my mind went something like this:

There once as a man and a funny little man
His name was Changa Roo Ra Ran
His legs were short and his feet were small
and the poor little fella couldn't walk at all

Chorus: Ey ek e pow wow, ey ek e pow wow, ey ekey ekey man ey echo.

Alternatively: for the 'dirty' version!

There once was a man and a funny little man and his name was Chinga Roo Ra Ran, his legs were short and his feet were small and the poor little bugger didn't have no balls!

same chorus !
