Alison's post reminded me of a comment the Dillard's (bluegrass band that used to, among other things, be on the old Andy Griffith show) made the other night on a TV special. Being from Missouri, their definition of a "gentleman" is, "someone who can play the accordion, but doesn't." NOI.
