(Michigan) We used to insert a name of someone (in the 1960s) and go around the circle of girl friends:

Rita...
Swinging on the outhouse door
Without her nighty
What the heck's a nighty for?
To hide her hidey
What the heck's a hidey for?
Go ask your momma!

Then the next name would be inserted and the song would repeat.
