I've been amazed and really heartwarmed by all your words about Mike... here's a discography (of sort) to answer some of your questions and some names to test your memories!

The LP with the bridge on the cover was "Our Side Of The Bridge" (1972) (Sleeve design by my Mum). It featured the song quoted from above, "Selby Bridge" (written by Mike & my Grandad). Accompanied on this LP by Joan Cooper & Dave Shaw.

With Fourpenny Bridge he made "Etton Alive" (A live LP made at the Processed Pea folk club, housed in the Light Dragoon Inn) in 1975. Fourpenny' were Mike, John Williamson, Dave Featherstone, Sue Williamson & John Hunt.

Then 25 years later came the CD (as has been mentioned... never one to immediately embrace modern technology!) "Count The Waves" recorded with John Guy, Maggie Boyle, Lynda Hardcastle, Helen Hockenhull & Fay Hield.

Sadly, he never recorded "The Vasectomy Song" (probably the funniest song I've ever heard). I was treated to two performances of it though - once at the brilliant "Count The Waves" launch gig, and another time, many years previously, encouraged by an ale or several with me and my Dad, at the front window of my parents house!

I'm really sorry I couldn't join those of you who met last wednesday to celebrate Mike's life. He was a top bloke and a brilliant Uncle.
