Exonomy, primary meaning for those who really want to know, is use of an ab initio gene predictor in eukaryotes, specifically a 23-state Generalized Hidden Markov model (GHMM). Best used in combination with Unveil, a 283-state standard Hidden Markov Model (HMM) and GlimmerM, a genefinder which uses decision trees and Interpolated Markov Models (IMMs).
