I love seeing this thread every year. The work is dangerous at times and no call out is ever routine. Takes good hearts and lots of training--even for situation that may never happen. I have a mild fear of water, so anyone who would willingly get in a boat makes me gape. To get in a boat and face 10' breakers just to get off shore makes me scratch my head in amazement. They are very brave souls, although I know they'd never think of themselves in that manner. Gotta love guys and gals who put it on the line for others. It's the ultimate in courage, imo.
