Santa hasn't forgotten you. The postal elves revolted and locked themselves in with the mailroom along with several parcels. Chief Recon Elf Tippytoes must have taken a liking to you, he volunteered to infiltrate the mailroom and sneak your parcel out. After a brief stint in the ER, he appeared with said parcel. I had to sneak down to the Post Office under cover of darkness and wait for them to open, but it is now in the hands of the USPS.
