Did the Black Death, the Bubonic Plague of 1347-1451, hit the North American continent?

No. It wanted to hit the North American continent but, hey, do you realize how big the North American continent is? It's huge! To hit it in any meaningful way, you'd need a hammer so big that nobody could lift it. Not even Arnold Sharsenegger Schwaresneger the guy who's governor of California. Such a hammer would be so big it would use up the world's entire supply of iron ore and then how would they ever make Toyotas?
