I've been thinking about Doctor John's question/comment about 3/4 being relaxing. I don't know for sure, but I wonder if it has to do with how it breaks us away from the walking/running pattern our feet do. You'll always start the next strong beat on the opposite foot. We walk/run/march more naturally in 2/4 or 4/4 time.Moving your feet in 3/4 time takes you back and forth in a rocking motion quite nicely. Anything that takes us away from actually getting somewhere is quite relaxing......
