But it is not correct, or moral, IMO, to allow any legitimacy to the act   I entirely agree. But I think it is wise to reserve judgement on whether the act actually took place. (The killing took place, anmd that was an evil thing to do - by "the act" I mean the use of these ladies in this way, and that is still open to question.)

Automatically believing something isn't true isn't any smarter than believing it is. Question yes, but find evidence. Precisely. And don't make up your mind until you have that evidence.

We've been lied to far too often to be able to trust what we are told by any official source in this kind of context.
