Subject: Lyr Add: THE MONEY TREE
Patience and Prudence would hardly have qualified to have been even novices, Joe. They were 11 and 14 years old when the recording was made.

But the really cool song was on the flip side of the old 45. It was this:

THE MONEY TREE

Pull up an easy chair and sit yourself down and lean back
While I tell you 'bout the folks who live in the town called, Greenback.
They never have to work on their hands and knees
'Cause they live in a town where money grows on trees.

Oh, the money tree, the money tree,
It's a beautiful sight to see
Why couldn't it happen to you and me?

Well, it grows fresh new bills that crackle and snap.
As fast as you can pick 'em, it grows them back.
Every day there's a bumper crop
With a million dollar bill way up on top.

So now you know about the people who live in the town of Greenback.
And if you want to go there, just sit yourself back and lean back.
Then close your eyes and suddenly you will see
That beautiful, wonderful, magical money tree.

Oh, the money tree, the money tree,
It's a beautiful sight to see
Why couldn't it happen to you and me?

Well, I am relatively sure about that second verse but make no guarantees. I have never found it written down anyplace so I have no idea of the author. It is a good song. Remind me and I'll sing it for you sometime.
