1.watch the dancers
2.practise with dancers,make notes of approximate metronome settings
3.If dancers are not available,use a metronome as a substitute,or play along with recordings.
4,visit all clips of morris dancers on you tube,and goand watch and listen to a lot of live morris dancers.
Bampton and Moulton are two good sides that spring to mind.
5.listen to recordings of Kimber, John Kirkpatrick,and Jinky Wells.
