I won a haircut in a raffle sponsored by my Dad's Lion's Club! For me this was almost as dubious an honor as winning an elk was for JenEllen, since I've had what I'd call Marcia Brady hair for over thirty years. You know, long, straight, parted in the middle (but usually in need of a trim, unlike Marcia). Don't know what possessed me --probably the ecstatic feeling of getting something for free-- but I got most of it chopped off with little or no premeditation, and now I wouldn't want to go back to long! I'm completely uncomfortable in a hair salon, though, and didn't take it too kindly when the woman washing my hair inquired whether I had ever considered getting my eyebrows "done".... hmph! Margaret
