Sonnet 13/4/01                        DXXXVIII

Though I do not yet know you, I can feel
Our thoughts within one vision. In your lines
My dreams hear echos: Might I ask for signs,
Emotion, and heart's desire, remain real?
Let me be clear: I would let my verse seal
Intent. I seek for muse, that I might find
Some vision, and some hope for dreams; To bind
Soul to soul, that heat of heart might anneal.
All I can offer are lines, soul, and heart:
My dreams remain beyond control. I seek
A source, to feed dream and desire: My art
Remains unvoiced, without. Yet, will you speak,
Inspire me, or silence dreams? Should dreams start,
Even before I see your eyes? Heart is weak.



Sonnet 14/04/01                                DXXXIX

I've image of your smile, but now depend
Upon your words to tell me of your mind:
I cannot judge how much of Truth you send,
But accept all you give, to verses find.
I search for muse, but hope to find my dreams
Reflected in those eyes. How shall I seek
What I desire, without your words? Heart seems
To sense a kindred soul, but heart is weak.
I wait to hear your voice, and look in eyes:
You are a source of verse, but will you share
Enough about you to inspire? How wise
Am I, to even hope, or dream, you'll care?
I wait upon reply: My dreams are caught,
And heart must hope that you are what I've sought.
