RIP Jimmy........ very sad news to loose such a great guitarist.
I was very fortunate to stumble across an inpromptu gig @ The Grand Parade Hotel in Cork Jazz Festival around 1987. Mary Coughlan took a break and never came back............ this guy Jimmy Faulkner stepped up and played with the band - drifting far from jazz and into many excellent covers which of course were completely unrehearsed but made for one of the most memorable gigs I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. The great Robbie Brennan was on drums that night........ I'm just glad to be able to say I got to see "The Master"................. Thanks giving me the memory that I'll cherish forever!
