Subject: RE: review: Chumbawumba (Chumbawamba)
I saw Chumbawamba in Sidmouth 18 months ago in the Ham .They were quite brilliant....great songs and marvellous harmonies...and plenty of politics...I remember one song A Singsong and a Scrap...about the fight to roam the mountains and open spaces in the 1930s.It deserves to be up there or out there..along with The Manchester Rambler. The band brought on Coope Boyce and Simpson for a few songs so they were up to seven part harmonies for some time. There was a standing ovation from a packed and appreciative Ham audience.
