I have several pieces of cast iron, mostly Wagner and Griswold. A warning: The new ( Mostly "made in China" or Taiwan marked) cast iron has been found sometimes to contain non-iron metals- I would be very careful using anything that was either "porous" looking or had different "shades" of metal. I buy only US made older pieces,myself,
