About "Animal Fair" ... almost all the versions I have heard use the first verse only.

I have seen the following 2nd and 3rd verses but I doubt they're traditional. They sound more like the work of a clever camp counselor. Still they're pretty well done! Here's the whole thing:

THE ANIMAL FAIR

I went to the animal fair, the birds and the beasts were there,
The big baboon by the light of the moon was combing his auburn hair,
The monkey he got drunk and sat on the elephant's trunk,
The elephant sneezed and fell on his knees, and that was the end of the monk! the monk!

The kangaroo was dressed in an elegant velvet vest,
The horse and pig were dancing a jig to the tune of the fiddler's best,
The seal began to sing, and swallowed his diamond ring,
The crocodile fell over the stile and the bell went ring-ding-ding.

The lion raised a row when he tried to kiss the cow,
With terrified moos the cow refused, it made the lion howl,
The parrots in the trees were chaffing the chimpanzees,
The chimps were shy and covered their eyes, and fell in a bucket of greaze, of greaze.
