Subject: APB for film/video/photos of Bob Gibson
Greetings once again, gentle colleagues!

You may remember me as the hopefully not too irritating woman who is always looking for personal collections of footage (video or film), audio recordings (any medium), and still photography of various performers, for use in our upcoming television series (now/still in production) for PBS/WETA-- THE MUSIC OF AMERICA: History Through Musical Traditions (www.themusicofamerica.org)

I am honored to also be working with the estate of the late, great, Bob Gibson-- and if you have what I'm looking for, then I probably don't need to explain who he was...

We're producing a very short biographical documentary to be screened in conjunction with a tour of Bob Gibson Legacy Tribute Concerts (www.bobgibsonlegacy.com), which will kick off May 1, in Mendocino, CA.

Of course, there's always footage and stock images from the usual suspects, but I'm wondering if anyone was in the audience, perhaps, or ever at a club, house concert, party, or performance...and has a PERSONAL archive including any Gibsoniana (hey, I just made that up!)

If you think you have something unique, please contact me, and we can arrange the rest.

[And, of course, as we continue with our major, prime-time series, we are ALWAYS looking for never-before seen footage of American folk music performers, including local/regional stuff-- school kids (think 1930-1950) singing traditional songs, rhymes and play parties, square dancing, etc.]

Thanks in advance for your assistance. Here's hoping!

Kindest regards,

Deborah Robins
