I can't see that spurious, pretendy, shortbread-tin crap for tourists can be construed as "traditions and practices". The very antithesis, I think. If by "only one type of discussion" you are regretting the decline of wifty-wafty, celticky fantasising and the rise in profile of a historical musical heritage worthy of celebration, I say good and about time.
