Google, 'lead belly a life in pictures' for an advance peak at a beautiful book that
shows the real Lead Belly. He was not the "murderous minstrel" glorified in the press.
Tom Waits did Introduction, Glenn O'Brien the Foreword. Lead Belly's niece, Tiny Robinson
and I edited. Publisher is the highly acclaimed Steidl. Book is 250 pages, retail $50.
Has anyone on this site ever explored odd lyrics to Lead Belly's "Goodnight, Irene" that
are sung around the world? Worth exploring, no?
